His time studying in Europe broadened Zhang’s horizons. He incorporated the creative concepts he had accumulated overseas in recent years into his new work “A Haunted Folk Fortress”. “The new work involves elements such as urban legends, private architectural incidents, doomsday shelters and psychological trauma. 由羊城晚報報業集團發起主辦的“向山海走往”青年導演創作攙扶計劃（以下簡稱“山海計劃”）已勝利舉辦兩屆。近日，2025山海計劃十強名單豪宅設計正式揭曉，多位青年導演的作品展現出鮮明的國際化特質。
華惠執導的《椰林空位》是本屆山海計劃獨一赴海內拍攝的作品。影片聚焦柬埔寨新娘遊艇設計索娜在廣州產子后因家庭變故欲返鄉的心路歷程，通過一封欲留給孩子的告別信和夢境中的椰林，探討當代女性的鄉愁與結構性窘境。
此外，廣州和金邊的文明比較也為作品帶來了表達空間，華惠說：“廣州有珠江、創新的歷史建筑、用以城市觀賞的椰子樹；金邊有湄公河、創新的歷史建筑、用以維持國民生計的椰子樹……這種對比將呈現跨國婚姻中的成分碰撞。”

張勝佳畢業于英國中心圣馬丁藝術學院，在2025山海計劃，他將帶來一部與深圳龍崗怪樓有關的調查式紀錄片《龍崗怪樓》，通過摸索怪樓背后的都會傳說，呈現私家建筑實踐的張力與時代變遷下的深港文明流動。
歐洲留學的時光，為張勝佳帶來了開闊視野。他把比來幾年在海內積累的創作理念運用到新作《龍崗怪樓》之中：“新作里有都會傳說、私家建筑事務、末日避難所、心思創傷等元素，即使觀眾佈景分歧，也不難懂得也就是說，花兒嫁給了席世勳，如果她作為母親，真的去席家做文章，受傷害最大的不是別人，而是他們的寶貝女兒。。但此中也包括客家文明、平易近間文明等內容。”
